Mineralization refers to the presence of minerals in the soil that can interfere with your detector’s ability to detect metal objects. There are three types of mineralization: low, medium, and high. Low mineralization occurs when there are few minerals present in the soil. High Mineralization

In these conditions, you may need to adjust your detector’s settings or use a different type of coil designed specifically for highly mineralized soils. This is where Double-D (DD) coils come in handy as they have two overlapping rings that cancel out most of the ground noise from high mineralization allowing you to hear only the desired signals and separate them from trash.

4. Use DD Coils: When working in extremely highly-mineralized grounds consider using Double D (DD) coils specially designed for such terrain which allow better target separation from trash objects due to their pattern design.
