Angelina Jolie’s Surprising Hobby: Metal Detecting

Angelina Jolie is a woman of many talents – actress, filmmaker, humanitarian and mother to six children. But did you know that she’s also a metal detector enthusiast? That’s right, the star has been spotted several times indulging in her hobby of treasure hunting with her kids.

It all started back in 2010 when Jolie filmed her movie “Salt” in New York City. She reportedly fell in love with the city’s parks and began exploring them with a metal detector during breaks from filming. Since then, she’s been seen using one on various occasions around the world.

Jolie even passed down her passion for metal detecting to her son Maddox, who joined his mother on an expedition at a beach near their home in Malibu. The two were photographed digging up items together while wearing matching black outfits (as one does).

But what exactly does Angelina Jolie hope to find during these treasure hunts? Some speculate that it could be anything from old coins to antique jewelry or even relics from historical events.

In fact, Jolie once said in an interview: “I like artifacts and things that have history… I’ve always loved history and I think my kids are fascinated with it too.”

It’s not surprising given that Jolie is known for her philanthropic work and interest in human rights issues. Her love for uncovering hidden stories and forgotten treasures seems to extend beyond just metal detecting.
