A: For me it’s all about the thrill of discovery! You never know what kind of treasures you might find buried beneath the surface – old coins, jewelry, artifacts from bygone eras…It’s fascinating to think about what stories these objects might hold or where they came from.

Q: Have you found anything particularly interesting or valuable while metal detecting?

A: Oh yes! One time I was out at a park near my house and got a strong signal on my detector. After digging down, I found an old silver ring with some intricate engravings on it. It looked like it could be from the early 1900s or even earlier. It’s probably not worth much in terms of money, but to me, it’s priceless because of the mystery behind it.

Q: Do you have any tips for beginners who are interested in trying out metal detecting?

A: Definitely do your research before heading out to detect anywhere – make sure you have permission if you’re going to public parks or beaches, and always follow local laws regarding metal detecting. Also, patience is key! You might not find something amazing right away, but keep practicing and exploring new areas.

Q: How often do you go metal detecting these days?

A: Not as often as I’d like unfortunately since my schedule can get pretty busy with work and family life. But whenever I have free time on weekends or during vacations, I try to squeeze in some detecting!

Q: Lastly Mindy, would you say that metal detecting has had any impact on your creative work as an actress and writer?

A: Hmm that’s an interesting question! I’m not sure if there’s a direct correlation between the two per se…But maybe in a way it has helped me appreciate the little details more? When you’re hunting for buried treasures with a detector, sometimes it’s the smallest signals or clues that lead to big finds. And similarly when writing scripts or developing characters for TV shows/movies – paying attention to those small nuances can really elevate the story.
