Upgrade Your Metal Detecting Gear with Easy Zipper Pull Replacements

Are you tired of struggling with worn-out zipper pulls on your metal detecting gear? Don’t worry, replacing them is easier than you think! Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you upgrade those tired zipper pulls and make your equipment look and function like new.

First, gather all the materials you’ll need for this project. You’ll require replacement zipper pulls, pliers or scissors, and possibly a lighter if working with paracord pulls.

Next, assess the type of zipper pull that needs to be replaced. Some may have a loop at the end that can be easily detached by sliding it through the hole in the zip slider. Others might have a closed loop that needs to be cut off using pliers or scissors.

If your zipper pull has a traditional lobster clasp design, simply unhook it from the attachment point on the zip slider. Then attach the new zipper pull by feeding it through the hole and securing it in place.

For paracord zipper pulls, carefully melt the ends of the cord with a lighter to prevent fraying before attaching them to your zippers. Once melted, thread the cord through the hole in the zip slider and create a knot at the end to keep it secure.

Once all replacements are made, test each zipper pull to ensure they glide smoothly along their tracks without any resistance or snags. Your metal detecting gear will now not only look better but also function more efficiently with these fresh new additions!

Remember that regular maintenance and care for your equipment will prolong its lifespan and keep it performing at its best during all of your metal detecting adventures.
