Rihanna: From Music Icon to Fashion and Beauty Mogul

Rihanna, the Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman, is not just a global music icon but also a prominent figure in the fashion and beauty industries. Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados, she showed an early passion for music. Her big break came when she was discovered by producer Evan Rogers in Barbados and signed to Def Jam Recordings.

The collaboration showcased Rihanna’s edgy streetwear style combined with Puma’s athletic aesthetic.

In 2017, Rihanna disrupted the beauty industry by launching Fenty Beauty under LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (LVMH), making history as one of the first black women to head a luxury brand within LVMH. Fenty Beauty gained widespread acclaim for its inclusive range of foundation shades catering to a diverse range of skin tones.

Continuing her entrepreneurial streak, Rihanna expanded into lingerie with Savage X Fenty in 2018. The brand focuses on size inclusivity and body positivity while offering affordable yet stylish lingerie options for women worldwide.

Aside from her professional endeavors,Rihanna is also known for her philanthropic work.She founded the Clara Lionel Foundation named after her grandparents which aims to support education,culture,and health initiatives around th world.In response to COVID-19 pandemic,she donated $5 million towards relief efforts through CLF along with providing personal protective equipment(PPE)to frontline healthcare workers.In addition,she pledged $15 million towards global coronavirus relief efforts through various organizations like WHO,CDC,and Direct Relief among others
